How long before my wedding date should I buy my dress?

When it comes to wedding dress shopping, there is no right or wrong answer as to when to start. Some people start right after getting engaged, while others prefer to wait. However, based on our experience, it's best to start looking for a dress 12 to 18 months before the wedding day. If you plan to order a made-to-order dress, note that it can take up to 8 months for the gown to be made and delivered, and alterations can take an additional 2 months.

Do you only do bridal?

Our boutique is focused on bridal, so we offer bridal appointments to find your dream wedding dress, and accessories appointments to find you're perfect veil or headpiece to complete your look.

>

How long are your appointments?

Our bridal consultations are two hours long, this leaves us the perfect amount of time for us to find you your dream dress!

Our accessories and reveal appointments are one hour long.

>

How many people can I bring to my appointment?

We offer seating for up to four guests in our boutique. We also understand that sometimes too many opinions can be overwhelming, so we recommend bringing along just a few loved ones to help you make the perfect choice.

>

How much are your gowns?

Our gowns range from £499 - £2,200. At So Gorgeous we are always respectful of any price point you want to stick to.

>

What size range do you offer?

At So Gorgeous we have off-peg dresses from size 4 to size 36!

We also have sample gowns from a size 8 to 32- However if the sample gown is a bit too big or too small we have a few ways to show you how the dress would look in your size. We would then take your measurements and order the dress in your closetest size.

>

Do I have to book an appointment?

Yes, we operate by appointment only. Don't worry, scheduling an appointment is quick and easy! We can't wait to see soon and find you your dream dress!

>

Do I need to wear anything specific to my appointment?

We recommend wearing neutral-colored underwear or shape-wear during your appointment to ensure the best foundation before trying on wedding dresses. While bras are not typically worn with wedding dresses, we do have bust cups to provide additional support. However, we prioritize your comfort and encourage you to wear whatever undergarments make you feel confident and at ease during your appointment.

>

Do I need to bring anything to my appointment?

If you already have your shoes, you're welcome to bring them along with you to try on with the dresses.

>

How do I pay for my dress?

If you have said yes to your dream dress from our made to order collection, a 50% deposit is paid when you order the dress, and then the remaining 50% is paid when the dress arrives at the boutique.

If you've chosen an off peg dress full payment is required when saying yes to the dress.

Please note that because the dresses are made to order we can't accept refunds of exchanges.
